Syma X1 with FPV Camera

So while in Huntsville I came across a Syma X1 in a GigaParts store and had to impulse buy it. It didn't take long for my colleague and I to attach a HobbyKing 720p camera to the top of it.


The maiden flight...


Plus I got to test the durability of the camera and the quad...


I love this thing.

    Fun. But I wouldn't really call this FPV.

    FPV refers to piloting the craft via the onboard camera. This looks like you just attached a camera to the quad and flew it LOS. Cool anyway.

      Thanks for the comment Steve! True, it's not FPV like my full build, but it is First Person View to the X1 for the people watching. And I say I used an FPV camera, not that I flew it FPV. Although I haven't personally used one, there are video transmitters light enough to fit on the X1 for live video down.

      (Really nice quad btw!)
